Striker
As a one year old in 2009, our biggest success is I started to feel Striker wanting to work with me.  We competed in the BC ASCA trial at Lynn’s, where he qualified on sheep, and one leg each on ducks and cattle.  He did take most promising started aussie under Judges Marti Parrish and Dana Mackenzie, but in hindsight I wish I had waited a year.  Next year, I hope to walk into the trial arena with a very solid started dog!

Billie
Billie had another awesome year, at 3 years old she completed her Intermediate CKC titles with HIT on sheep, HIT on cattle and HC under Judge Steve Waltenburg, and on Sunday and Monday rec’d 2 RHIT under Judge Judy Garbarino, but most satisfying of all is she got her first Advanced leg on arena sheep, taking a 2nd place after Leroy Leach!

2009 was a huge learning year for both myself and my dogs.  Billie, because we had had such huge success in 2008, moving up to the next level has been a big challenge for us.  Striker, because he is such a different dog than Billie, and a very strong dog for me to start.  I also learnt I was not so good at organizing and competing!  Thank you Lynn for all your patience, understanding and  laughter!
